2025 SENIOR SHOW

Design Challenge

Design an engaging and cohesive event identity across media that announces our 2024 Senior Show. It must celebrate the Visual Arts and Graphic Design senior capstone work and experiences. The design must clearly inform, create a call to action, and capture the spirit of PLNU and it’s graduates.

BIG IDEA

Celebrate the creative journey of the senior class by using the department’s blueprint as a visual and symbolic foundation.

UNIFYING CONCEPT

The blueprint filled with photos connects space, memory, and identity.

DESIGN APPROACH

I Used leading lines from the blueprint to guide typography and create flow.

Initial Photography & Design Stage

When I first received the prompt for this project, my thoughts immediately went to the Keller Arts Department, a place that has been an essential part of my creative journey. To celebrate our graduating class, I chose to take a multi-media approach that would capture the essence of our shared artistic foundation from a fresh, aerial perspective. I started by using my drone to photograph the building, offering a unique and expansive view of the space that has shaped our experiences. From there, I experimented with various blueprint layouts to add depth to the design, while allowing the architectural shapes of the building to naturally guide my typography. This approach helped to blend the physical structure of the space with the vibrant energy of our artistic community, creating a visual expression that honors both our past and our future.
